Jordan river

The Jordan river (were we went kayaking) runs along our Kibbutz so It's really close.
There's also a really beautiful pathway with grape vine above your head so there's patches of shade everywhere. On the pathway you'll see lots of lizards and It's a good view of the mountains. My mum and I sometimes go for walks in the morning along the walkway but today we went in the Jordan. But it takes guts to get in. It's the coldest, frezzingest (that's not a word but it should be) river ever. It took me 5 minutes to get up to my stomach and 15 minutes to get my head under so 20 minutes altogether. We had a picnic under a big tree so there was shade and we had a great time.

  1. Kia ora Shai, thank you for sharing all your adventures with us. The Jordan River looks beautiful! I assumed that the population would be quite large nearby so it would be more polluted than it is. Why is it so cold when the air temperature is so warm?
It must be wonderful to meet all your relations from Israel and around the world. Will you and Kaya have a Bar Mitzvah in NZ or will you travel back to Israel?
Thanks for taking the time to blog and share with us what you are doing. It is very interesting!

  2. Thanks for giving me feedback and asking me questions. First of all me and kaya will be having our Bar Mitzva in Israel together even though girls have theres when they turn 12 and boys have theres when they turn 13, because we cant pay for 2 trips in 1 year and because were twins.
And the temperature is cold in the Jordan because the climate is subtropical arid, with quite cold winters, due to the altitude, and hot and sunny summers.
