Learning Hebrew

The small letters under the big letters are the
formal way to write it.
You may be thinking that I'm having a really cruisy, easy holiday. Well you're probably right, but I also have to learn how to read and write in hebrew. Nearly every day after we have lunch, but before we have a schnutz, our dad teaches us for half and hour how to read and write. But It feels much harder to read and write in hebrew than in english. There are two different styles, cursive is the handwritten form, and  formal is the printed style like books, newspapers, ads, and posters. Right now I know the whole alphabet of by heart and can read up to lammed which is the 12th letter in the hebrew alphabet. There's also 5 letters that are spelt differently at the end of a sentence which I haven't learnt yet. To help me I installed a game that's really helpful and my mum likes it so she uses it. You write from right to left and  It's like reading a book from back to front.

Shais Resipy of Resilience

Yesterday I finished my reading project, (Shais Resipy of Resilience.) We had to make a recipe about who we are as a learner. Last week our teachers gave us a task that we had to complete and it was about us as a learner. Here's some images about my learning. Sorry if it's blurry, hope you enjoy😎

Sun, Wind or Rain

Today I finished a reading article that was called Sun, wind or rain. Sun, wind or rain is basically an article about weather and how you can read weather by looking at clouds and other things. It was quite interesting because our family usually watch the weather so now I know how they predict the weather and why they get 9/10 percent of the weather correct. My favourite part of the article was probably when they predicted the weather by seeing if there's pebbles in the fish and if there is, than bad weather is coming. After we read the article and completed a whole bunch of questions then we had to do some more research about clouds and pick two clouds to write about and see what the difference is between them. As you can see, I copy and pasted my Google Drawing down below so you can see what I've done. Here's some links to show you what I did before that. Sun wind or Rain

Book Spine

Today for our learning we had to make a sentence out of book titles. What we did was we chose 4 or more books and tried to make a sentence out of them. Once we came up with our sentence we took a picture of the books stacked from top to bottom. Once we took a picture of our books and inserted it into google docs we wrote our sentence under the picture and then shared it to our teacher.(Miss Kingi) As you can see, I inserted the picture into Blogger so you can see it.💩

Dog Man - Reading Wheel

This week (and last week) we have been making reading wheels. We had to use our math skills of rotation to find out that 360 (1 full rotation) divided by 6 is 6 portions of 60 degrees each. Then we had to use a protractor to measure exactly 6 60 degree portions onto our reading wheel. I've been reading Dog Man by Dav Pilkey. On sector 1, 3, and 5 we used illustrations about our book. On sector 2, 4, and 6 we wrote about our book. After all of that we had to make a cover for our reading wheel. Did you now that half of 360 degrees = 180 degrees, half of 180 degrees is 90 degrees, and half of 90 degrees is 45 degrees. If you don't understand the picture at the bottom then I'll tell you now.

Radius: The radius is a straight line coming from one side of the circle to the centre of the circle.
Diameter: The diameter is 2 radies, or any straight line coming through the centre of the circle and touches both sides.
